“I spoke to Barni just recently and told her to come up with a ‘non-diet system,’ which focuses on just eating healthy, a sensible approach to nourishment, not just being caught up in the diet mindset… That’s when we came up with what we call FIT MEALS, which are meals that you can eat anytime, that are made up of wholesome, low-fat, lean, and whole grain ingredients, that are tasty, just as they are affordable.” |
These meals, which will be available any day now, go hand-in-hand with a fit lifestyle. Rachel elaborates, “How can you make a workout regimen work if you eat unhealthy food?”
When asked about what inspired her to come up with these fit meals, Rachel shares, “My friend Ricky Rivero was such a catalyst in this idea of ours…He was 334 pounds before, and now he has lost 165 pounds, ever since he started not focusing too much on dieting…He just started eating enough to nourish him. He focused on a combination of sensible eating and working out, just smaller portions of grilled fish, fresh fruit, fiber….I just truly believe in the ‘Non-Diet Mentality,’ that we don’t have to drive ourselves crazy, we just have to have everything in moderation. And because of Ricky’s experience, I saw it fit for him to be our Spokesperson for Fit Meals.
” FIT MEALS are out to help people enjoy what they are eating, while enjoying the nutritional value the healthy ingredients offer. “We want people to know what’s in their food, but also have them enjoy eating healthy meals,” she continues. “Most people already know what’s good for them, and a lot of healthy food is actually quite tasty.”
The standard Fit Meal is comprised of brown rice, lean meat, and vegetable sidings. It is enticingly packaged in reheatable containers, and clients can also choose to order their Fit Meals in a hot and ready-to-eat fashion. Fit-food fans can wash down the meals with an array of choice health drinks: fresh fruit shakes and protein shakes made with low-fat milk and Splenda, a popular sugar substitute for weight-watchers and diabetics.

He shares, “It’s never too late to start being healthy. I’m 34 years old, and I believe I should have done this a long time ago…Most of the time, people think of ‘diet’ as deprivation…and you’re never going to start eating healthy if you feel deprived. For my friends, it was a health issue that they were concerned about, which is perfectly understandable. But really, I just wanted to look good again.”
Rachel completely empathizes with people who are conscious of their health and eating habits. “I’ve been battling with losing and gaining weight all my life…But my ‘non-diet mentality,’ which again concentrates on eating healthy actually helped me even more. Pizza is actually high on my list of cravings, as well as fried shrimp tempura, and an occasional drink, like a glass of red or white wine. It’s actually normal to have such cravings, and not always a crime to indulge sometimes. But I also love vegetables and tofu, and I generally follow a healthy lifestyle.”
Looking good is something every person can relate to, and having lost more than a hundred pounds by eating right, Ricky Rivero certainly knows what he is talking about, and wishes to encourage others to do the same.
